Futures and Design Thinking Framework for the Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts
Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts is the largest hotel group in Sri Lanka and the Maldives and part of Sri Lanka’s most prominent industrial holding company, the John Keells Group.
In January 2020, a week-long team training session was held with employees in Colombo.
Four teams of brand managers and marketing experts from the Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts Group worked with Playroom experts to implement a method framework.
The common goal was to cultivate a future-oriented mindset for long-term success, and to establish Future and Design Thinking processes as innovative techniques within the company. As are result, the Playroom Design Thinking Framework has now been rolled out to other business areas of the John Keells Holding.
To establish new innovation processes and frameworks was the goal of the Sri Lankan Cinnamon Hotels and Resort as part of the John Keells Holding.
A week-long team training with Playroom in Colombo was the beginning. Included: Design Thinking methods, new creativity and lots of fun.
The success of the workshop’s first week was long-lasting as the hotel group has now implemented Design Thinking processes in other business areas.
